Membership types
Your church’s own list — Visitor, Regular Attender, Member or whatever you use — on every profile.

One field, your words
Every person has one Membership type, chosen from your church’s own list. Every church starts with Visitor, Regular Attender and In Progress, and adds its own — Member, Former Attender, whatever you say. Each type also counts as a visitor, an attender, a member or inactive: that is how it adds up on the Core Overview and in “active” counts. It takes the place of the older Stage and Attender type.
Set it on a profile
Open the person. Membership type is at the top right of the profile banner (under the name on a phone). Tap it and pick a type, or Not set. Core editors and admins can change it; viewers see it.
Change the list
Core → People records → Membership. Add a membership type, rename one (it renames on every profile that has it), change what it counts as, or move it up and down — the order here is the order everywhere else. Nothing is saved until you choose Save. Core editors and admins can do this.
Removing a type people have
Choose the X beside it. If anyone has that type, Sanctuary says how many and asks where they go: Move them to another type, or leave them Not set. Keep it puts it back.
Where it is used
Filter People by it, use it as a condition in a sheet, set it for everyone on a sheet (Actions → Set a field), give it to new people from a form or Add many people, and map your old system’s values to it in Move to Sanctuary.
