You need a number on the church
Text giving uses a texting number your church rents. The number is a small monthly charge of its own, separate from your plan, set up under Give → Text giving on the website.
Keyword and consent
If you advertise “text GIVE to …”, that word is the consent. Set the keyword on the church. Blank means there is no live subscribe word.
First-time givers
They get a link to finish setup (card, name). After that, a text amount is enough. The gift still attaches to a Core person.
When not to use it
If the church has not connected Stripe or opened giving, do not print the number. The text will not be able to complete.
