How the monthly allowance is counted, and where your questions go.

The allowance
Shepherd has a monthly allowance for the whole church, shared by everyone who uses it: 500 or 2,000 requests, depending on your church’s plan. Each message you send Shepherd is one, and so is each time a routine runs. Confirming an action it suggested does not count. The count starts again on the 1st of each month.
When it runs out
Shepherd tells you it has reached this month’s allowance and starts again on the 1st. Nothing else in Sanctuary is affected.
Where your questions go
Shepherd is built on Claude, a model made by Anthropic. To answer you, it sends your question and the records it needs to answer it to Anthropic’s API. For questions about how your data is handled, email support@onesanctuary.app.
